TED approached Asteria to create a film reflecting on 40 years of TED for their 2025 Conference Opener. Directed by @donalleniii and the Asteria team, the result is a tribute to innovation—a dynamic blend of motion graphics, gaussian splats, and generative AI elements made with MAREY, the clean AI model created by Moonvalley.

TED is a non-profit that believes powerful ideas, powerfully presented, move us: to feel something, to think differently, to take action.

Asteria exists to put studio power in the hands of individual filmmakers.  For most of film history, making a movie required permission - from studios, from financiers, from massive teams and infrastructure.  Asteria believes that era is ending.
